Cozy House Dilijan

Before I review this hotel, I wanted to write about Dilijan and its beauties; Beauty that cannot be put into words. The beginning of the trip to Dilijan was a one-night stay in one of the most beautiful hotels in this land. The cozy house that has been described in Dilijan as follows:

Dilijan is famous for its mountains of dense forests as well as some of the finest cultural heritage Armenia has to offer. Cozy House is a few kilometers away from the medieval monasteries dating back to 12-13th centuries. For instance, Haghartsin Monastery was founded under the patronage of Bagratuni Royal Dynasty. In Goshavank you can experience the spirit of ancient religious, educational and cultural centres where Mkhitar Gosh founded a school back in 12th century. One of its alumni (an Armenian scientist) wrote The History of Armenia there. You might also want to explore why Lake “Parz” means “Pure” in Armenian or have a pleasant evening walk through the restored old town to catch the true spirit of 19th century Dilijan.

Yes, you read it right, we are dealing with a medieval house!

Cozy House Dilijan

This is undoubtedly one of the most attractive and unique hotels (houses) I have stayed in. At first glance, it may remind you of medieval houses, or the location of the Lord of the Rings movie in New Zealand; It was created just like that to give you that feeling for a while.

The cozy house is separated from the road by a river and shows you life in a different way for a while. My stay there was in the winter season, the cold days of Armenia, which is covered with snow everywhere, and gave Dilijan this stillness and silence, the silence for which I traveled here; Here you can watch heaven from behind the window, a round window different from all the houses I stayed in before.

Location

Dilijan is a mountainous region, which has very beautiful roads, one of those roads is the one which the Dilijan Cozy House is located, of course, most of the hotels are here, the location of the cozy house is a little higher than the city center, where access to the beauty here is easy. It was absolutely lovely and easy for me.

View

Reviewing the view of this cozy house is a simple thing to do. You can't expect a more beautiful view, you can see the forest and mountains from the windows, and from the back, a mountain full of trees; If it wasn't winter, I would definitely climb one of those mountains.

Welcoming

They welcomed me as a new traveler with a friendly Armenian smile; They gave me a very nice key, from the very beginning I understood that everything here is strange. I realized that I should expect strange things. That's right, this cozy house is truly a unique place to stay away from the cities. They asked me to ask any questions I had, any help I needed, and that's where our friendship was formed in two minutes; And just like its name, this hotel became a cozy house for me.

Room

The room was as I expected, very strange and interesting. It has a double bed, and upstairs a single bed. From the outside, one would not expect the interior to be large. Espresso machine, television, sofa and equipped bathroom were among the facilities of the room. The door of this hotel was the most enjoyable part of the whole story, opening and closing it made me feel like I was living in the middle ages, every time I went out I felt like I was going to bring wood and light the fireplace. But the room in the cozy house was very warm in these winter days.

Restaurant

Breakfast was brought by a kind Armenian at the time I had previously been asked to specify. It was an old box, which in the middle ages they used to put their supplies in, very attractive and interesting, I really liked the idea, and the contents were very nice and clean. Also, for dinner and lunch, there is a menu of some good restaurants in the room that you can call and order.
