Rize

After a long stay in Trabzon, Turkey, I returned to the eastern cities like Rize, but not exactly Rize, just the nature around. Rize Province is a province of northeast Turkey, on the eastern Black Sea coast between Trabzon and Artvin. The province of Erzurum is to the south. It was formerly known as Lazistan, the designation of the term of Lazistan was officially banned in 1926, by patriots. The capital is the city of Rize. The province is home to Laz, Hemshin, Turkish people and Georgian communities. Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spent his early childhood in Rize, where his father was a member of the Turkish Coast Guard, and from which both of Erdogan's parents come from.

Ayder

Passing through Rize, I reached Ayder, with a lovely friend named Murat, about whom I will write more later. Ayder is a yayla (summer resort) in Rize Province, Turkey. (The word yayla may also means Alpine pasture.) Although well known locally, the first mention of Ayder in official papers was in 1871 when the hot springs in Ayder were noted. The temperature of the water is 550C (1310F). However, the most attractive feature of Ayder is its dense forestry and a number of waterfalls nearby. In 1987 the location was declared a tourist center by the government. Ayder is famous for its rhododendron honey, which is produced in beehives hung on trees. It is also famous for its trout, which is farmed in abundance between Ayder and Çamlıhemşin.

I've always heard of these areas. High forests, by the Black Sea. This was something I always had in mind, which had become one of my destinations in Turkey. But now these imaginations were slowly becoming a reality. Along the Black Sea Road, towards the high villages; As it reaches Ayder, a very beautiful roaring river flows. A river that attracts many tourists every year for activities such as fishing and rafting. As always, I choose the best hotels to stay in my favorite places. This time my choice was Haşimoğlu (Ayder Haşimoğlu Otel).

Ayder Haşimoğlu Otel

This hotel has an interesting story. In fact, since 1969 it has hosted guests from all over the world. Ayder Haşimoğlu Otel is a relic of several generations, which is now running by the descendants of previous generations. Location

Apart from all the hotels and the touristy and crowded atmosphere of the village in the second half of the year, there is a very beautiful hotel called Ayder Haşimoğlu Otel, a hotel that goes down the slope to the river. In all the hotel, terraces, rooms the wonderful view catches your eye at first glance, you may not believe how attractive the view of a hotel can be sometimes, luxury at the same time simplicity.

With the magnificent view of the creek and Kaçkar, you will be able to get enough of the blue and green, you will reward yourself in an environment alone with nature outside the city, and you will witness the moments that you will never want to end. You may know the meaning of the word mind blowing landscape, every tourist knows that not all the beauties can be recorded in the pictures, this hotel and its landscape are one of these mind blowing ones. Welcoming

Upon arrival at the Ayder Haşimoğlu Otel, I was immediately greeted by the hotel owners and staff. Something that shows the culture and hospitality of the people of this region. Without check-in, they invited me to a very nice Turkish coffee. They introduced all the facilities of the hotel and breakfast and dinner hours. Finally, they told about the beauties around and the history of the hotel and previous guests. This kind of warm welcoming always makes a nice atmosphere in any hotel you go.

Room

Visualization is a repetitive word, but not for this hotel. The hotel can not be imagined through my words, the sound of the river, the light and the colors that are reflected from the mountain trees in front of the room, create a pleasant, beautiful and incredible atmosphere in the room. Interior design creates a relaxing and chilling place just like your own home.

The hotel has many beauties around and especially the view, although this does not diminish the facilities of the hotel. Rooms come with a large TV, bathtub, fridge, furniture and tea maker.

Restaurant

The hotel restaurant is very large and located on the ground floor, this restaurant can host many guests at same time, which means you can travel to the hotel as a tour. The food suits every taste, and what makes it attractive is the use of local traditional foods in the variety of dinner.

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan

My favorite hotel seems to be the Turkish president's favorite hotel during his visit to Eyder. My friend, Seljuk Haşimoğlu, the owner of the hotel, says that the president's mother was friends with his grandmother. Numerous pictures of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan are installed on the walls of the hotel. Also, a note by Recep Tayyip Erdogan left in the hotel with his signature.
