Artvin is a city in northeastern Turkey about 30 km inland from the Black Sea.
It is located on a hill overlooking the Çoruh River near the Deriner Dam. It is a former bishopric and (vacant) Armenian Catholic titular see and the home of Artvin Çoruh University.
Artifacts dating back to the Bronze Age and even earlier have been found. The area was part of the kingdom of Colchis and part of the Greater Armenia but was always vulnerable to invasions, first the Scythians from across the Caucasus, then the Muslim armies led by Habib, son of Caliph Uthman who controlled the area from 853 AD to 1023 when it was conquered by the Byzantines from the Sac Emirate linked to the Abbasids. Artvin has many hotels, because of its geographical location, it attracts many tourists every year. This city is also a student city, many students live there.
I have stayed in three different hotels in Artvin, one of them was Sadıkoğlu Hotel, which is right in the center of the city, if I have to consider the location, this is the best Artvin hotel for a tourist.
The location of Sadıkoğlu Hotel, as I wrote before, is right in the center of the city, from here you can walk to all the shops and restaurants of the city, you can see a very good view from the window, and as a tourist you can visit many touristic places just by a walk. This is undoubtedly the best place to stay in Artvin.
Remarkably, this hotel provides a wonderful view of the entire city, as well as nature. Every morning I watched the beauty of Artvin from the window. The height of this city from the sea level, as well as the high mountains, make people in this city want to observe this beauty from a height, this hotel provided me with this possibility. I love the view of Artvin Sadıkoğlu Otel.
The hosts gave a very polite and respectful welcome with a tea, and talking about Artvin, its beauties, and talking about themselves, their lives, and trying to create more friendship, so they made Artvin a much more beautiful city for me. This made me experience this city in a better way.
The rooms of this hotel, as seen in the photo, are rectangular and simple. These traditional rooms fulfill what a traveler needs. A soft bed, a wardrobe, a TV, a clean bathroom with towels, and most importantly, a window to the Artvin paradise.
This hotel has a very good restaurant. Breakfast is included for all guests, and what is found on the Turkish breakfast table is also found here. Overall, the breakfast of this hotel is satisfactory, and keeps the travelers well fed.
